A visit to the new Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney Springs!
I took my family to dinner at Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney Springs and would like to share some thoughts and pictures:
Here is a look around the newly redesigned Disney Springs Planet Hollywood restaurant, now called Planet Hollywood Observatory! The concept is still the same, but with some new bells and whistles. Movie memorabilia is everywhere, music videos and movie clips play on the audio visual system, and the wait staff is upbeat and friendly.
The centerpiece of the new design is a massive 4,500-square-foot video wall. A highlight of our dinner was when they played the music video for Moana’s “You’re Welcome” and a majority of the guests and staff sang along!
We made sure to make reservations using the Disney Springs reservation system. There is plenty of seating, but it was a packed house on a Thursday night.
The food was decent and about the price of what you would expect from a tourist friendly theme park restaurant. They recently added some new Burger and Sandwich selections from celebrity chef Guy Fieri, so they have that going for them. I had the Bacon Mac-n-Cheese burger and I had a hard time getting out of my seat after that. My wife had the Filet Mignion and my kids had Chicken tenders respectively, because I think that’s all they ever eat.
We enjoyed our time at Planet Hollywood Observatory. I recommend stopping by if you have a big appetite and want to listen to music and look at Movie memorabilia.
