Iron Fist was first seen in Marvel ComicsMarvel Premiere #15 in1974 and was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane.
Daniel “Danny” Rand is one of many who have taken the mantle of Iron Fist, a title given to those that have won the tournament in the mystical realm of K’un-Lun.
Iron Fist is able to summon his Chi to manifest his powers. Danny Rand gained the Iron Fist powers by battling and defeating the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying and dipping his fists into the dragon’s molten heart. During the battle, Danny pressed his chest against Shou-Lao the Undying, and the dragon’s symbol was permanently branded tohischest.
Iron Fist aka Danny Rand is played by Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick plays Colleen Wing, both of which are also cast members on Game of Thrones. Lewis Tan will be playing a villainous character named Zhou Cheng. Rosario Dawson reprises her role as Claire Temple, Carrie Ann-Moss reprises her role as Jeri Hogarth and Wai Ching Ho reprises her role as Madame Gao.
