Take a look at the Smurfs: The Lost Village Teaser

Let’s take a look at the all-new, all-Smurfy

Smurfs: The Lost Village Teaser:

To get even more hyped for the upcoming Smurfs Movie, let’s share six thoughts, facts and observations:

  1. This new Smurfs movie is fully animated, unlike the previous Smurfs movies which combined Live-Action with Computer Animation.

2. The Smurfs were created by Belgian cartoonist Peyo and premiered in comic strips way back in 1958 and then featured in an animated series in the 1980s which became widely popular.

3. The Smurfs are said to be “three apples high” so basically, as tall as three apples if you were to stack them, which I wouldn’t recommend trying.

4. This new Smurfs movie features the voices of Demi Lovato as Smurfette,  Danny Pudi as Brainy, Jack McBrayer as Clumsy, Joe Magnaniello as Hefty, Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf and Rainn Wilson as Gargamel.

5. Smurfette was originally created by the evil wizard Gargamel to be a threat and distraction to the all Male Smurf village. Papa Smurf rescued Smurfette and used magic to turn her into a “Real Smurf”

6. And of course, saving the best for last; the Smurfs have been featured in various merchandise and collectible items, including the most horribly insane and difficult video game I have ever had the misfortune to have been addicted to playing: Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel’s Castle on ColecoVision!
