With the news that actor Josh Brolin has heard the story of Marvel Studios Avengers: Infinity War and it gave him “goose-pimples”, let’s take a closer look at the character, Thanos:
Thanos, the “Mad Titan” is a Mutant Titan with the Deviant gene.
Thanos was created by Jim Starlin in 1973 and first appeared in Iron-Man #55.
The MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) version of Thanos has appeared in 3 MCU movies so far: a mid-credits tease in Avengers, a brief speaking cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy and a mid-credits cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Thanos is a genius and was a pacifist in his early years, later he became infatuated with Death.
Thanos is obsessed with Death and also power, causing him to pursue the Cosmic Cube, Infinity Gems and the Infinity Gauntlet.
“Fine, I’ll do it myself.”
Actor Josh Brolin provided Mo-Cap, or performance capture, for Thanos in his cameos. Thanos is set to return in the Avengers: Infinity War movies, but he could possibly appear again in any of the other MCU movies in the near future.
