Gamora

 Best known as a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy team, let’s take a look at “The most dangerous  woman in the universe“.

Many of you recognize the character of Gamora as being portrayed by Zoe Saldana in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Now, she is great in that role, but today we are looking at a statue that depicts a more comic book accurate version of Gamora.

She is the last of her kind, the Zen-Whoberis, as her home planet was destroyed and Thanos took her under his wing as a sort of evil protégé. She would later resist and turn against him.

The comic book character of Gamora first appeared in Marvel ComicsStrange Tales #180 back in 1975. Gamora was created by Jim Starlin. She is depicted as more of a cosmic warrior in the comics.

imageGamora has had a few slightly different looks, with this space armor look premiering around 2013.
imageGamora is a skilled assassin and deadly warrior who has even taken on enemies stonger than her. Thanos augmented her abilities and also trained her to be a lethal warrior.

Gamora was involved in several Marvel Comics cosmic events such as Infinity Watch, Annihilation War and The Infinity War.
