I have always admired his passion for the Comic Book industry. This is a guy who got involved in Comics at a young age and almost gave up on it before producing some of his best work. As a kid, one of my favorite shows was Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. I remember there were some episodes that he would narrate. Once that voice was imbedded in my mind, whenever I would read a Spider-Man comic, my brain would read the descriptions in his voice.
I was always very aware of Jack Kirby, Steve Diko and the countless other great collaborators that made Marvel what it was. Stan was the public image, I fully understood that from an early age.
